Manta, Ecuador

Manta Ecuador

Manta, officially known as San Pablo de Manta and located in the province of Manabí, is the capital of the canton of the same name. It has a population of about 240,000 inhabitants and an average temperature of 23°C (73°F). Unlike most of Ecuador’s coast, where the climate is extremely hot, rainy, and humid, Manta’s weather is different thanks to its privileged geographical location in the south‑central part of the country. Several factors moderate and change the city’s and canton’s climate, making it much more pleasant than in the rest of the coastal region. Manta is the most important port city in Manabí and one of the main ports of Ecuador.
